L2TP on Windows Server 2008 R2 Setup

So we just got our new server and im trying to setup a L2TP VPN. I Completely New to L2TP So I am looking at for a step by step guide. Can anyone Help I am lost. Do I need Certificate Services? Or can I just used a pre-shared key

Alright I followed the guide on Microsoft to setup L2TP but its for windows server 2003

Under Certificate Services so far I only Install Certification Authority wasnt sure which ones I needed


Ive created the ipsec policy but I am unable to assign it, its still grayed out

If you are using Server 2008, did you consider a SSTP VPN? It has less firewall issues than L2TP or PPTP:

Yes I did but I will have some windows xp users
