I just ordered an XP1600+ and the Alpha PAL8045 Whisper kit with the Panaflo L1A from 2cooltek. I was wondering if I could expect any overclocking with this combo? I know I won't get any major speeds, and if I want to overclock more, I can get another fan. But just wondering since it's in route. Also, anyone else have this HSF combo? With the same or different fan? What have you been overclocking results?

Thanks

What motherboard are you putting this on? Make sure you visit here first to make sure there arent any issues that you should know about. Since you bought the same set up I did form the same place I am sure you already visited that site. However, I did as well and I still had issues! Make sure you use the right washers. (I fried my CPU) Also make sure that if you are using an Epox 8k7a that you are extremely carefull with the nuts on the bottom of the board, you can tear off a little component! The fan should do well for you and is very quiet. Pushes a decent amount of air as well.

I have the same heatsink and cpu, I use a Papst 46,5cfm/37db fan and a MSI K7T Pro2 RU mobo however.
With that combo I've been able to oc my 1600+ to 1680Mhz (10,5x160 I havenøt unlocked it), but I have been very lucky as most people only reach about 1600 with similar cooling. With the lower speed fan you should go for about 1533 for a start, it might do better it might do worse. 146mhz fsb was what I could get with my old Molex Radial Fin and your setup is better so...
