Hi,

My 19" LG LCD montior - L194WT- has issues reproducing grey and skin tones correctly. I don't have a DVI output on my graphics card so I'm using VGA to VGA. Has anyone else had this problem? The reviews I read about the monitor were so positive so I'm sure I screwed up somehow. What driver should I be using?

Thanks!

I have this same monitor, and on dvi to dvi, and I only get odd colors in photoshop. For instance, a image thats supposed to be grayscale and appears grayscale in paint and windows picture viewer appears yellowish in photoshop.

Are you comparing skin tone quality to a CRT? The VGA connection may be making things paler, but you can try adjusting gamma in the monitor's setup.

Do you guys have the LG F-Engine enabled?

It should be in the monitor OSD (on screen display). Just mess with the different f-Engine options (e.g. "user", "green enhance", etc).

I looked through the monitor menu, theres nothing about an f-engine, user, or green enhance.

I'm comparing to other LCD monitors - my grey tones are almost posterized. And skin tones are often redder than other LCD monitors.

I don't have the LG f-engine either...

I wonder if it has to do with the VGA to VGA, I would like to try DVI but I need to upgrade my video card.
