i need a mod to connect pins underneath cause there is no L12 bridges on the palomino
all i need to accomplish is to fool the asus a7v333 into thinking it is a 166fsb cpu
the board has a bios designed feature to not allow you to increase the fsb high enough to increase to the next pci divider so this limites yur fsb to like 145 or so on the asus a7v333 with a 133fsb chip

but i know the board supports 166 and i know the chip isn't hitting it's limit
so it has to do with the board reading the cpuid

anyone know an alternative to the L12 bridge mod ??
i would like a wire pin mod

thanks

Hi Soulkeeper,
25309.pdf should be the Palomino datasheet and it has no ref's to "FSB_Sense" pins, also shows NC = "no connection" for the AH30 and AG31 pins marked as FSB(1:0) on the Tbred/25175.pdf pinout diagrams.
So could be that this function began with the Tbreds, not available on Palominos...or...if you like to gamble you might assume that the circuits are there on Palominos and AMD just identified the pins as NC.
Your chip...your call....

Link to FSB_Sense article for Tbred pinouts, then connect to nearby Vcore or Ground sockets with fine wire u-loops set to 166MHz as per the Truth Table...if you're a gambler.
