This episode is so damn sick (about a filthy child rapist), but the storyline has me hooked. I feel dirty :(

So? Nanny state++

Damn; people need to stop thinking like this. Classic playwrights would have been hanged if we followed this logic. We'd better get burning a LOT of books.

Isn't that basically all SVU storylines? Sick, twisted, disturbing sex crimes?

Or they just watch the evening news.

That's why they run those disclaimers every episode ;)

But this one was a bit sicker than usual with Stabler actually playing the part...

It's only going to get worse NFS4; broadcast "Prime Time" shows keep pushing the envelope to compete w/ cable and sat. :(

Marlowe's tragedy of the Jew of Malta basically glorified a Jew killing Christians and setting up Turks and Christians to fight and maim one another. He killed his daughter after she turned Christian, and even killed the entire convent of nuns. That was considered at the time to be extremely against the societal norms, and many would have considered it downright outrageous. It was also a sellout, even then. ;)

Haha. Yeah, Nip/Tuck has been advertising their new season as even edgier and more cutting edge than the last. It's kind of hard to imagine how much more over the top they can get with the sick storylines.

yep, good show, so just a question:

S P O I L E R - do not read further down my post

Did he molest the child after getting out, or was it his relationship/opportunity with Stabler that made him decide to do it?

good episode. and for an answer to the above post.... i wasnt quite sure at first, but i think stabler's involvement did indeed push him over the edge.

sucks next week that the conclusion is split up between svu and ci (i believe its ci). hate when they pull this crap. i was watching reruns of an episode with alfred molina and angela lansbury in it, and the conclusion was aired on ci yet usa hadnt started running ci episodes yet.
