It's understandable, all that sugar and caffeine CANT help when trying to learn. Private school's have been doing this for some time now.

So they'll exercise by walking across the street to the local gas station and buy a pop there. Waste of time politically correct measure.

Makes no sense. They still allow fruit juices which have just as much, if not more, calories.

I never thought I would see the day when sodas were allowed in school. When I went to school your drink choices were water from the water fountain or those little 1/2 pint milks at lunch.

I think that most (if not all) LA unified schools have a closed campus. So if you want to get food during the school day you're limited to what's sold on campus. I guess you can just bring a soda with you to school in the morning, but it's not going to be as convenient and a lot of people will just end up buying juice or whatever else is being sold.
What you mean aspartame? You believe that propoganda? I'd sooner take injections of the stuff rather than down pounds of pure sugar every year...diet sodas are probably worse... all those chemicals..
