kyro vid card and counterstrike

hello,

anyone know of any issues of running a Guillemot Hercules Kyro II video card and playing counterstrike?

were there any problems in setup? etc?

also, in general, any problems with this card?

There used to be some issues with the Kyros and CS, but I think they've been fixed.  The only thing that could really go wrong is if it gets really slow when there's smoke on-screen, then you'd possibly have to hack the registry to change a couple of settings.  I think they fixed that problem with the 7.114 driver set, but I'm not certain.  Other than that it should run great.

I have a Kyro2 and play CS all the time.

I only have a 17 inch monitor, so I run 1024 by 768 by 32bit.

My system:

1 @ 1.4 GHz TBIRD
Kyro 2
512 DDR
Spox 8k7a


I get 99 FPS ALWAYS. In smoke I can get down to maybe 60 or so, but still very playable. I love my kyro 2

hehe i can change my FPS by changing the refresh rate
at 85hz i get 84 to 86 fps

at 100hz i get 99 to 101 fps

at 120hz (max refreshrate my monitor supports at 1024x768) i get 119 to 120 fps

just dont forget to turn off the frame limit in the cfg file
without Vsync it seems to be blocked at 100fps ... i think thats strange, but enough

forgot to include specs :

Athlon 1,2
512 meg DDR mem
GF2 MX
(is mainly a cad system, so nutting more than an MX is required ...)
