Hello.


I am currently building a new system. It kicks but I cannot get my vid card to work in 3d.

2d works just fine...in 3d I see the screen flicker constaintly..nothing I have tried fixes this.

specs
512 133mhz ram
1ghz processor
abit ST6-raid (new MB)
SB live
ibm deskstar drive.

I have tried agp speed 2 and 4. I have also tried to change the apature. In 3d mark and in Black and white what happens is I get a screen then it goes black then I see more of the game then it goes black again. The monitors works just fine with my G 400. So I am stumped. If I cannot fix it by tonight I will just pickup a Nvidia card or possibly trade in this card.


Any idea's would be appreciated.

Well how about mroe info on the OS, your previous vid card, did you uninstall the previous driver first? Does the problem happen in any other games?
 
Sounds like your monitor may be going out of sync. My Samsung 900p goes out of sync with games every time I reinstall and its not my video card as it has happened with several different video cards.

There is a tool called Hztool that makes it possible to set your game refresh independently. Extremely good tool. Give it a try.
