just bought one, which will arrive on Monday. Have an XP1600 in an Asus A7V266E :):):D, so speed won't be a problem. I know the Ati boards are good for DVD playback, but how about the Kyro?

Thanks

They're decent, no worse than a GF2. I wouldn't go running at 1024x768@32bit though. 16 bit would prolly be better, or just lower the res to 800x600. I can't really tell a difference in resolutions above 800x600 when watching DVDs.

Oh yeah, and for image quality, I don't know. There aren't any graphics glitches on my bro's system, but I don't know exactly how clear it is, because his monitor is the fuzziest I've ever seen, and he won't get it fixed.

Average. It's not especially good, but it's not really poor in any way either.
It'll do the basic DVD acceleration needs without any real problem.
Basically comparable to the GF2 overall in image quality, though the GF2 is a bit faster in DVD's.
