Kyro II Experiences

Well, I came home from work and found my Kyro II sitting on my bedroom floor (I finally noticed it sitting there after being home for like two hours). I reformatted tonight, and started from scratch.

I've only benchmarked it in 3dmark 2000, 2001 can wait til tomorrow.

Read my system specs to see what I have.

Thing is, i got about 7100 3dmarks. I got 6500 with my Voodoo 5. I'm kinda dissapointed with the results. I was hoping for more. Anyone know of a place with Kyro II tweaks? The driver's seem to be pretty limited.

Thanks!

wait for directx8.1 final release ... (rendering into textures will be corrected)
but then again 3dmark 2000 and 2001 is flawed..
why?
there are lots of things.
the first one is when 3dmark test fill rate 3dmark 2k,2k1 don't replicate a real game, it doesn´t put any overdraw in there...
so it is flawed...(thus giving a lower score in the fill rate department to kyro, one thing that kyro excels)
by the way what is your score in 3dmark2000?
I get roughly 4500 with my duron at 900 in windows 98 directx7

You should try it out in some games, the performance and image quality will surprise you.

Powervr2 is right, the benchmarks are flawed when it comes to the Kyro II. And which would you rather believe, benchmarks or real-world performance? I get 60-70 fps in Unreal Tournament at 1024x768x32 with 2X FSAA. For $112, that ain't bad.

You mean Generic benchmarks like 3dmark are flawed. Else how did you test to see your real world performance?

3dmark is flawed... (there are some positives things in 3dmark, like that max payne engine, but that fill rate test is flawed)
benchmarking with real games (games that we can bech) is allways better...
