Kyro II and IRQ 11

I just installed my Kyro II (Hercules 3D Prophet 4500) on a fresh Win2k Pro install with the newest drivers. It's using IRQ 11 which I've heard is what you want. My problem is that my NIC and sound card are also using IRQ 11. I installed the Kyro before them. I've also heard that it's best to have the Kyro on IRQ 11 by itself. So my question is how do I get my NIC and sound card off of IRQ 11 and on a different IRQ, or is it OK to have them all on IRQ 11?

Unless you think its slowing down performance then don't worry about it, it doesn't hurt performance in all cases. If you have any further problems then checkout this Kyro 1 and II FAQ

Primeosu2,

under W2K it is absolutely OK to have multiple devices on a single IRQ (11 seems to be the OS's favorite one). As far as I know, this hardware interrupt should only act as a gateway to many virtual interrupts, which in turn are used to communicate with the devices. There should be no problems with this setup, I've personally never seen any. That's one thing this OS does well (not that there are no others).

As always, correct me if I'm wrong. From time to time, I am. 😉
