Kyro II and Everquest lockup

I have just purchased a new Kyro II card the Hercules 4500. It is locking my computer up every 30 minutes or so while I am playing Everquest. I have scoured their boards for information and have come to the conclusion that the card is new and the chipset might not be supported. Does anyone have any other information or advice to give me? When I tried to install the new drivers all heck broke loose on my machine. It wouldn't install correctly and sent me to Safe mode hell. I'm going to give it a go again but I can't say if it will work. I would hate to have to send this card back as I bought it over the net and would have to pay all that shipping for nothing...

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

kyro is virtually 100% compatible with all the games out there!!!

do you tried other games ?
if this happens with all the games you have you might have an heat problem with your system. (a bad ventilated case or even a faulty kyro)

if this happens only with everquest then you should tweak the drivers a little .

make a new profile on the drivers for everquest.
then try to tweak a little (example you could enable external z-buffer, this will make kyro 100% compatible losing some performance with it)

by the way try the last drivers that should correct some "issues"

There's bound to be people on that board playing everquest and practically all the members have either Kyro 1 or II.
