Kyro 2 and Unreal Tournament 2nd CD

EMAN

How does it run? Is it smooth using OpenGL renderer?

Any errors or graphical glitches using the 2nd CD for U.T. ?

Which do your prefer? D3D or OpenGL

Tell me why you use D3D or OpenGL.

I checked the s3tc-compressed textures for UT and they do work but most of those high-res textures are not shown properly (borders of textures are flickering).
before my Kyro2, I had a GF2MX which simply sucked in UT D3D therefore I used the Loki OGL-renderer. Now it's the opposite: D3D runs much better (smoother) than OGL on a Kyro and it looks a bit better. Last but not least: the framerates are HIGH, VERY HIGH...

<< powervr2, I doubt D3D looks better than OpenGL high Res. Textures. >>

You're right. OGL does look better but one thing annoys me: color banding, which you don't get with D3D. if you disable s3tc then color banding disappears.

Reason I was asking was because I was having problems running U.T. with my Radeon LE in 32bit color. I have to run it @ 1600x1200 @ 16bit color in D3D.

I have no problems running it in OPENGL except it studders when I have few bots in front of me.

Screw this I'll just keep my Radeon LE.
