KX7-333 /KT333 chipset mb's and Ghost image speeds needed

I'm getting a transfer rate of 144mb/s at the 50% progress marker on my C drive (NTFS - W2k SP4)

Why I'm asking is .... the same HD (maxtor) is in my NF7 and Im getting ~1100mb/s at the same point.
(actually never drops below 1050mb/s)

I could have sworn I had 600+mb/s at one time on the KX7-333. But, I could be wrong.

I'm also post this in the Apps forum, so plz ignore any comments of double posting.
