Just going by the specs pasted here (I'm not familiar with this particular tuner), no. It doesn't list QAM tuning, which is needed to get HDTV over cable (as opposed to 8VSB modulation which is used for over the air broadcasts). And current PC tuners can only tune unencrypted QAM channels anyway, which is limited generally to the local channels. However, it does have two antenna/coax inputs, so you could hook up your cable line to one (for all your analog channels) and an antenna to the other and receive your local HDTV channels over the air.

the only negative review issue i could find on it was that the registration key number starts with a lower case "L" ... that looks like a "1" "l" so that people have struggled with thinking they had a invalid key code.

but information is scare :(

i ordered one ... figured i give it a shot for that price

I hope you realize there is a rebate you have to deal with. With that said, and considering kworld is unheard of, it's not worth the risk.

It may take longer then you think. A lot of people on NewEgg have been waiting for rebates from Kworld for sometime.

Kworld has been around for a while and sells many different tuners and other products. I've bought their stuff and found it to be pretty good quality.
