Is there some way to switch like KVM, but just to switch video signal from one display to another without touching keyboard or mouse?

If you get a KVM switch that has push-buttons to select the input source, i guess that's what you're asking.

What you need is a spliter that will allow you to go from one display to another. A KVM allows you to use a single display with 2 different systems.

That spliter allows 2 displays to run off a single VGA port. They will both be on at the same time no switch ing back and forth needed.

I can't find any that switch the video from one monitor to the next. They all just output the signal from a single port to 2 monitors.

Hope that helps.

Yeah Vin. I've got the IOGEAR GCS634U Quad KVM.

@ Montek. If you have a videocard w/ dual monitor outputs and an LCD with both analog and digital inputs, then you can just hook up your videocard to both and use the input button on the monitor to switch between both displays.

Its actually for lcd tv, what if i use tv out on my video for that to switch to another display, wont quality trough tv out will be whorse than if i connect tv as monitor, it supports this function.?
If i use spliter wont running 2 devices simultaneously will make signal worse?

Do you mean push button ON THE KVM (instead of keyboard or mouse)?

I have a Trendnet TK 205 and all I need to do is push a button on the KVM and I switch from one computer to the next.

Or, do you mean, one computer and two monitors?

What ARE you talking about anyway?

Also i have LCD TV that have PC Display function with resolution of 1024x768, will quality be same if i connect TV as display and connect it with S-Video out from TV out on my video card?

I just wanted to add JUST IN CASE, that I spoke to a guy at a place called Future Shop who showed me a large LCD, that there was a button to switch from TV to computer on the LCD itself.

Well my LCD does not have such feature. It only has input no output, what about some device like spliter, but that will work as switch, i.e. you actually push button to enable second display?

If i am still not clear for someone here's Picture.

I didn't look at your picture, but I believe that all you want to do is have the KVM switch which monitor has the picture. Yes, that will work, so long as it's a KVM with pushbuttons. The trick? Don't hook up the mouse or keyboard to the KVM - just the monitors. I do the same thing in my datacenter sometimes......

OK - I looked at your picture now. I am confident in my answer. Just hook the keyboard and mouse up directly to the PC. Oh, and did you know that there are splitter devices that can send the signal to both at the same time? Also, if you have a dual-output vid card you can have the two outputs show the same desktop, rather than stretching the desktop so that the signal can go to 2 displays simultaneously.

Why don't you just add the LCD TV as a second monitor under display adapters, then turn the monitor off when using the TV?

For what i know KVM works this way you have 2 inputs and one output, two inputs come from 2 pc's, and output comes to monitor, to do what i want i will have to connect it to monitors and one input, so its will require connecting input (pc) to output socket on KVM and connecting output monitors to actually input sockets on KVM, will it work like this?

The problem is that there is no splitters avalable around here, and i want to be able to actually switch signal when i want to (don't know if splitters have such function) because my tv, auto wakes up when it receives signal and turning it off each time i restart pc is not what i want.

Because i have only one output from PC.

I have built in video card, what if i buy second video card PCI (not pci express) or AGP can i use both simultaneously like one card with dual outputs and use software to switch one monitor on and second off?
