I've been poking at the idea of a KBM switch for my main machine and WHS box.

I use a wireless Logitech KB and mouse combo and at first glance, nothing seems to be guaranteed wireless compatible.

I'm looking at USB units in the 100.00 to 200.00 range but it doesn't seem to make a difference for wireless compatibility.

What say Ye?

I use a KVM and the Logitech S510 KB mouse combo but without the mouse. There are no problems at all. Its an onlder KVM too that uses only PS2 connectors and no USB. There is no need to worry about copatibilty with a wirelss KB and mouse. Its a none issue since the wireless receiver looks like a regular KB and mouse to the KVM and your PC's .

Thanks for the response!

I guess not many are using a KVM/wireless combo.

Most of the incompatabilities I've been reading are with Bluetooth or wireless kb/mouse combos that use one USB receiver.

I would be using 2 different RF receivers, but even with that set-up I haven't seen any that are guaranteed to be wireless compatable.

Looks like the trick is to buy from a place with a great return policy. :)

Indeed ! I tried it a few years back using a Belkin wireless combo using one receiver and it never worked. So I just returned it and went back to PS2 gear.

I use an IOGear Miniview Extreme 4 port that I love at work, but unfortunately the shared USB ports only support USB 1.1. Its not a problem with a keyboard, but if you wanted to share an external drive over the network, the lack of USB 2.0 would be a serious issue.
