Ok I just picked up a Belkin 2 port KVM Switch (Model F1DK102P)

I hooked it up to PC1 and PC2, hooked my keyboard/mouse/monitor to the switch and powered up both PC's. It loads up on Port1 which goes to PC1 but once the OS loads on both PC's I can't switch between them.

In the book it says to push scroll lock twice, then the up or down arrow. Also says you can push scroll lock twice and press #1 or #2 for pc1 or pc2, also you can push scroll lock twice and press 0 to make it go from display to display. None of it works.

I just rehooked everything and turned PC2 on before PC1 and it booted to PC2 and somehow it jumped back to PC1 after bootup when I was repeatedly pushing scroll lock and the arrow keys all at the same time out of frustration but I can't repeat it :(

It shouldn't be this difficult should it? Is it possible I have bad luck and got a bad switch? I guess I can bring it back to office depot but I did kinda destroy the blister pack getting it out :(

Any help?

PS My keyboard/mouse are both USB and I have PS2 adaptors on them. I have a Belkin Keyboard and an Intellimouse Explorer. Both work perfectly through the switch but the scroll lock isn't switching pc's as it should :'(

Nah my keyboard isn't like that *shrug*

A friend brought me a ps2 keyboard and it works with it so I guess it didn't like the keyboard and/or the usb->ps2 adaptor *shrug* Now I need to find a decent ps2 keyboard online :( Any suggestions??

Same KVM, 4 different keyboards, same deal. Also had this issue with an "Airlink"? The same systems (Pavillion mobile with dock, ASUS P4 homebuilt) work with a 4 port OmniView. I am starting to think that some of these 'light' KVMs just suck.
