I bought the IOgear USB KVM Switch from buy.com and received the package this afternoon. I opened the package and followed the steps plugging the usb ports of keyboard, mouse and the VGA port of monitor into the respective ports of the switch. As soon as I was to connect the KVM cables to my laptop, I saw a big spark behind the laptop. Then I found my desktop lamp as well as one end of the VGA port of the KVM switch were damaged after the spark. 🙁
