KVM over IP Network

I'm planning to leave my computer at home media server running while at work or vacation, but in case it crashes, I need a way to see the Screen (VGA output) and control the Keyboard.

I know of Networked KVMs, but if I understand correctly, most of them require

1.) KV- Network Cable Module
2.) Main Controller Unit

This set up meant to control >8 computers is overkill for my purposes.

Are there any personal class Network KVMs that is just a 1 piece solution?

If the "Screen Crashes" you will not be able to view with or without KVM.

As for control over the Internet, you can use Team Viewer (Or VNC), both are free for personal use.

There is KVM-over-IP hardware that allows remote access to the console no matter what the state is of the OS. You remote connect to the KVM itself...doesn't matter if the system connected to it has crashed.

As for what the OP is asking...I don't know of any that are targeted at small/home office or consumer.
