Can you recommend a brand, or recommend a model not to get?

Am looking for a 2 port [or 4 port if the price is right] with audio/usb/kvm.
No video degradation [if that is possible].

I don't use the systems for gaming. Mostly for tech stuff/office/photos/vid edit.

Any ideas.

Thank you in advance.

I am not very familiar with the USB models, but i use a Linksys PS2 one with zero issues.

I have also used an IOGear one with slight video degradation, but i know others have used different ones of that brand with no issues.

Best thing to do is maybe get one from a place with a good return policy, & go from there :)

I also have a Linksys one with zero problems too. It uses a key combination to switch inputs. The Linksys that I am using does not have audio or USB. I know Belkin makes one with built in audio, but the 2 port version is upwards of 100 dollars. I did stop using my KVM becuase I bought myself a Dell 2001FP and I don't work on my other machines too much anymore.

I use an IOGear MiniView Micro KVM Switch GCS62 to switch between my laptop and desktop. Works great with my wireless elite keyboard and MX700 mouse.

No issues despite my using a PS2 to USB splitter/converter for the laptop, which only has one PS2 port. I'm no gamer, but there isnt any noticeable lag for the mouse, or a difference in video quality.

I use the same KVM device as airfoil with my Cordles MX Duo and quite pleased with it.

Edit= I just noticed that you wanted audio capabilities so see what IOgear offers ;)
