KVM connected via Ethernet?

Hi all,

I think I've read about something like this, is there such thing where you can plug in a monitor / keyboard on one end and on the other end it's plugged into your ethernet network (CAT5)?

What brands and sorts are there?

I know Belkin do them and most probably all major KVM switch manufacturers.

The company I work for just purchased a KVM over IP solution from Avocent. The switches alone were almost $10,000 each for 16 ports.

Yup.. KVM over IP.... You'll pay for it.

Built into most server management modules these days and some will also support CD/DVD over IP as well.... Which is very nice.
