I really admired his skill and he wasn't a half bad actor either......;) His latest job in "Wild West Tech" was another in his list of great shows on History/Discovery channels.

Kill Bill and Kung Fu star David Carradine has been found dead in a Bangkok hotel room, BBC correspondent Jonathan Head has reported. The 72-year-old was in Thailand filming his latest film Stretch, according to his personal manager Chuck Binder.

Mr Binder said the news was "shocking", adding: "He was full of life, always wanting to work... a great person."

More soon.

UPDATE

Thai police told the BBC the 72-year-old was found by a hotel maid sitting in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and body on Thursday morning.

The US star was in Thailand filming his latest film Stretch, according to his personal manager Chuck Binder.

Mr Binder said the news was "shocking", adding: "He was full of life, always wanting to work... a great person."

Carradine was part of an acting dynasty which included his father, John Carradine, and brothers Bruce, Keith and Robert.

The star was best known for his role as Kwai Chang Caine in the 1970s TV series Kung Fu, which spawned sequels in the '80s and '90s.

After a career which included more than 100 movies with directors such as Martin Scorsese and Ingmar Bergman, he recently found fame again thanks to his role in Quentin Tarantino's 2003 film Kill Bill.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Bierman, and four children.

Oh, and per Phokus, in order to make this a "legit" P&N post, he was always a staunch liberal and supporter of President Obama and past president Clinton......;)
Thread is locked thanks to troll like Phokus derailing it

I never cared for him in film, he did a decent job on Wild West Tech though. He was iconic regardless of how I liked or disliked his acting abilities.

The original Death Race 2000 was a classic.

I even liked the silly revival of Kung Fu where he had a grown-up son and magic wizard powers :)

RIP Mr. Carradine.

What I found puzzling was the apparent fact that he took his own life...........wondering what took place to precipitate that? Was he ill.......? Was he upset that they had to have stuntmen do a majority of his demanding scenes in recent films? (he did nearly all of his stunts before)

A well known person passing away is not news? Especially when he apparently mysteriously takes his own life?

Is it only news if it pertains to politics?

;)

True, but i was under the impression the 'news' part was more politically oriented... i mean, technically speaking then, we could start posting perez hilton type hollywood material on here because that would be 'news' as well.

Fixed to Phokus's liking. David Carradine was a staunch liberal and supporter of President Obama.........
