KFH was too cheezy for me. The worse scene was the running scene. Shaolin Soccer was great though.

Both are alright, but not his best. Having seen a ton of his flicks, I much prefer his older stuff. I.e. God of Gamblers, Fight Back to School, From Beijing with Love.

Shaolin Soccer. Kung Fu Hustle is close, though. Haven't seen the other Stephen Chow movies, but I like his style and humor. He reminds me of Simon Pegg. If they did a movie together, it would either be terribly bad or ridiculously awesome.

I like Kung Fu Hustle a lot more. Slapstick can really be hit or miss and a lot of the stuff in Shaolin Soccer didn't jive as much as Kung Fu Hustle.

You're right, I watched it recently and it wasn't funny and it was missing awesome scenes, and I realized it wasn't the same movie that had my on the floor.

Find the real cut of shaolin soccer, it's wonderful.

It's interesting that the poll is basically 50-50 (at the time of this post).

1. The dancing + massacre
2. The Lions roar
3. The rebuttal. Stephen gets beaten to a bloody pulp. When the beast stopped and we thought Stephen was dead, Stephen graps a small stick and taps the beast's forehead with it (spit in face).

If you don't mind subs, definitely check out his older stuff. My worry is some cultural themes/tendencies don't translate well - and subs aren't the most accurate either.
