A relatively small fan such as might be on a video card would have to spin retty fast to move much air. Some fans like the old 60mm Delta's were up around that range.

7K 60mm Delta Screamer and a Thermalright SK6 = immediate deafness but nowhere near 65 dB.

Nice catch crazylegs. That sort of wild guessing is completely unacceptable. And the numbers aren't anywhere close to reality either!

I've seen 65db fans before - some 120mm's with ~250cfm. They were 24v though.

WOW 220CFM @ 30watts.... no wonder that 1 makes 65dB
