Hi, I have a DirecPC PCI network card that I have found a glitch in when using WinME and the 4in1s on my Kt7a133. As soon as I install the 4in1 drivers (clean install as well...) each time I boot I get a waring message stating that ...

"windows has detected an error in my card.....try reinstalling it...)" I screwed around with this for a couple days, reinstalled, etc....only to find there is actually NO PROBLEM that I can find...it works fine, no conflicts..... cant figure it out.

I traced it to the 4in1 as the problem occurs AFTER they go in as I reversed the install order of the card.

ANY IDEAS?

I had different problem. I used 3c905-tx pci network card from 3com. First of the bios would assign it irq 11 which 3com does not like. it likes irq 5 or 10. and IRQ is not changable in the device manager. The card would be recognized but be disabled. So I went it bios and reserved IRQ 11 for ISA then rebooted and this time the NIC card was given IRQ 10 and everthing worked fine.

remove the card from device manager and physically from system then reserve irq 11 and then reboot. shutdown. and then install the card.

good luck

It appears I made a mistake....with a little more investigation I traced the problem NOT to the 4in1 but to the installation of the HPT370 drivers.... as soon as they are installed... I get this error.

Im gonna try the suggestion above BUT my device manager doesnt show ANY conflicts so Im not sure if this will solve it..... never had this problem with Intels chipset so on any of my BH6 series boards.... even using the Highpoint ATA66 CONTROLLER b4.
