on my kt7a ( bios 65 ), it doesnt matter on what ram slots i use ( i have 4 GOOD memory sticks ), my freakin memory shows up as 8mb!!!!! i have 2 x 128mb and 2 x 256mb, and it doesnt matter what combination i use ( 1 stick of 256 on dimm #1 or 2 x 256mb on dimm #2 & #3 ) it always shows up as 8mb!!!! (i tested the ram in other systems, shows up fine.

help!!!!!!

Has it ever shown up correctly on this system? Is this a new system? Did the problem just appear now? Installed anything new? BIOS flash? Cleared CMOS with jumper? More info, please.

yah, ram has showed up correctly in my system, but after i stuck in another hd, it only showed 8mb ( i had 2 x 128mb + 1 x 256mb ) system is relatively new, had it working for a while today, i just got a new cpu/vid/hd/cdrom/ps/etc... just started happening now. went from a duron 700 to tbird 1.333. mobo has newest bios already, so no flashing necessary. cleared CMOS jumper a few times already 🙁

the RAM should populate the banks from dimm 1 to dimm 3. is this pc-133 or pc-100? what is the fsb set too? where is this new hard drive plugged into on the mobo? is it set as master or slave? did you flash the bios before or after clearing cmos? is this memory with or without parity?
