Just put in an AthlonXP1800 in my v1.0(flashed with the 7N BIOS) the other day. It wouldn't POST with the AXP even after clearing CMOS 'till I hit the reset switch, now runs perfectly. :)

I just tried to put an XP 1900 into my KT7A-RAID v1.0 last night and couldnt get it to post at all. I threw my 1 Ghz AXIA back in there and then that wouldnt post. I'm hoping I didnt lose all my data on the RAID drives.....

If you have Raid drives then Play it safe and don't run a XP.

But you will need to put in the newwest Bios. Then you should be able to put in a Athlon XP. The 1600+ is a great buy at a little under $60 shipped. You may have to restart the computer on a boot or two(that is why Abit said not to use XP's) but most have had good luck from what I have seen. Just reset the Cmos and then change any settings to what you want.
