Curious what kind of results people are getting with this board. Running mine with a 1ghz Tbird, Elsa Gladiac 32mb Geforce2, and 256 megs of Crucial pc133 cl2 RAM on Windows ME.

Have been stable at 1120 (8 x 140). Doesnt seem to want to go much higher but I can mess around with it some more.

Got these scores:

3dmark 2000: 8113

Sandra Dhrystone: 3110
Whetstone: 1514

Int ALU : 572
Float FPU: 632

Havent tried Quake III yet.

damn, those are some high 3dMark scores! What settings are you guys running at?

I only get 4300 or so in 1024*768*32bit with all other settings at default
its a Duron 750@973 (7*139fsb) with A radeon 32meg DDR and 128megs crucial CAS2 running winME

Psi, my guess in the difference in your scores is the CPU in use. You'll notice that both of the high scoring systems use T-birds at 1.12 and 1.2 G's. At these speeds, a T-bird should give the Duron a bloody nose any day. (not a slam on your system, I'm just sayin:))

Edit: the extra RAM probobly helps too......

The 32mb Radeon is about on part with Geforce MXs, its the 64mb one that competes with Geforce2s. Thats another reason for the difference. Radeon also do better at 32 bit, dont seem to score that well at 16.

Insane3d, do you use any added cooling on the video card to overclock it to those speeds? Have mine at 233/360, safe to go higher without cooling devices?

they should change the default to 32-bit, only because I have a Radeon 64MB, and my 16-bit scores will be

you should be more specific, you mean the SDRAM of RADEON, if it's DDR then it's a totally different story.
And in PsyNinja's system, he said it's a DDR!!! DDR!, can't you read DDR?

Yes, I have the video cooling kit from Millisec. It has a copper HSF unit for the GPU and RAM sinks for the memory chips. I didn't really get much more overclockability with the kit though, I got like 5mhz more memory and 10mhz more GPU..but that's it. I can achieve these speeds for two reasons most likely..

1. I got lucky with a good Gladiac. Some cards will overclock better than others, even if they are the same model.

2. I have a ton of fans in my case, so I have some serious airflow that keeps the card cool.

It really isn't too unsafe to overclock higher, if you go to high you will get artifacts in games or you will crash. If this happens just lower it back down. It really won't help you much to try to overclock the core any higher, the real benefit comes from cranking up the memory. Bump up your memory speed 5mhz at a time until you start to see artifacting or it crashes. When that happens, just lower it a couple notches and enjoy. Good luck...:)

Also, I got that 3DMark score on AGP 4X, but with my FSB at 150, AGP 4X is not very stable. I get a score with AGP 2x of 8800 or so..

Abit KT7A, 1Ghz tbird @1.2Ghz (9x133 + 3fsb). Elsa gladiac GF2 GTS and mushkin budget mem at cas2.

Sandra CPU - 3361/1651
Sandra Mult - 8168/6711
Sandra mem - 562/518
3dMark 2000 - 8028

I did have a 3dmark score of 7648 with the GF2 core/mem at default 200/333. Just OCed it to 205/366 and the score is 8028, pretty good gain for a modest OC.

Messed around with some setting and tried overclocking a little more, got it up to 233/390. Start to get noticeable visual anomalies around 400. Increased the score a few hundred points, up to 8465 now. More than satisfactory, I think.

Yup..very nice. Also, sometimes kicking the I/O voltage up a notch in the bios will allow a slightly higher overclock...:)
