I've recently got a kt7a-raid with a 800Mhz Duron. I've unlocked it by shorting the L1 bridges (individually) with silver paint. I can pick any mulitplier so I don't think my unlocking is my problem. Here is what is:

My system crashes everytime I try to do an alt-tab from inside a game. Also, I can't get anything but a 100 Mhz bus to work. At 133 Mhz bus it always gives me the error on boot 'bad ntoskrnl.exe....' I can't overclock to even 850 without lockups and crashes. AGP at 4x will crash all games at start-up.

KT7A-RAID
256 MB crucial PC133 cas 2
TNT2 Ultra
Quantum LM30 on highpoint
Windows 2000 SP1
Detonator3 drivers

The board came with the newest bios. I've tried all via drivers from 4.25 to 4.29, same problem always. I've disabled ACPI and everything has its own IRQ except USB and Highpoint which always share. I've tried all AGP memory sizes.

Anybody have any ideas? My old ZM6 was like a rock compared to this board.

it might not be the board. if you cant get anything higher than 100 bus than it very well could be your cpu. if you disabled acpi you might be overheating the cpu as well. did you do a clean install after you installed the new mother board, or is it the same install from your old mobo? did you try switching RAM modules from one slot to the next. try looking in your event viewer to see if win2k has any logs of your crashes. could very well be the board, but its easier to check all of this then to get a new board and find out thats its your ram or cpu, or even your HDD. oc'ing also affects everything else in the system, maybe the HDD cant handle the extra power.

good luck.
