Ok, I've about reached the limit of my patience with this Abit board. My last Abit board was a BX6 rev. 2 and it was wonderful.

The Problem:

The computer will not post with the Plextor CDRW attached. I'm using ATA66 cables with it as on my last mobo and it was just fine so I doubt that is causing it. I've got it working occasionally now and think I have the problem narrowed down. When the computer won't start, it seems to go through the motions of booting up and seems to be even making it partially into windows because when I unhook the Plextor, windows boots and says something about my vid card being set up wrong; however, it I reboot once and come back there are no vid error messages - everything is fine. So, I think this means that I'm getting a resource conflict. Some have said that a CDRW can't cause resource conflicts and I didn't think it was possible either. If I attach an old 10x CDROM, everything is fine no matter what. Also, Plextor was tested on another computer - it is fine. Jumpers are set to Master for each. Any suggestions?
