KT7 with Raid Boot Settings?

Ok I think I am confused, I set up the KT7-raid board with two 15 gig drives running on IDE3 as slave and master in Raid 0. My question is to set up these using High Points config software I had to set the first three Boot Drives in my Bios to ATA100.. so when I am done If I want to boot to say a Floppy or Cdrom can I change these setting? ANd can I leave them changed?

Thanks

Yes you can. Just a suggestion though, if your ide4 is free I'd set up both hd as masters for raid0.

Ok thanks... I am going to do that now....

So if I wish to add another hard drive not to be part of the raid configuration, can they still go onto the slaves' of IDE 3 & 4? WIll they slow down the performance of the Raid assuming that they are old drives used for storage?

Ok I did that.. thanks for you help , I woulda been peeved if I had loaded win2000 and found out I had to do that afer

No problem =).

Yeah, you can still connect extra hds. Hmm, I'd say performance may degrade if you have all of your hd's transferring data at the same time. Other than that I don't think it'll make that big of a difference. I myself have 2 arrays going and I haven't noticed any change in performance.

You know you may want to check out KT7 faq page since you're using win2k. There are some issues with drive performance you may want to be aware of.
