why, because it just doesnt fit, that's why. The "little black things" next to the cpu socket are too close. I built this KT7 for my little brother and am very disappointed in what was said to be the best layout of a socket a board. I think either Anand or Tom said that... well I MUCH prefer my A7V now that I have worked with a KT7... if only Asus had put multipliers in the bios....
So if you have a KT7, DONT BUY A SILVER ORB! And if you have a KT7 and installed a silver orb HOWD YOU DO THAT! I EVEN BENT STUFF AND NOGO!
