If you're using the onboard RAID controller with the KT7-RAID, then no doubt you've noticed the relatively high CPU usage during HDTach tests. However, if you go into the BIOS, and enable "Enhance Chip Performance" under the Soft Menu category, you should notice a dramatic decrease in CPU usage. I get anywhere from 18-25%, which is much better than the 40%+ I was getting without the "Enhance Chip Performance" option. However, you have to be using the UL bios to order to have access to this option. Try it out and let me know what you guys experience.

I discovered this on my system as well, but I have to put the CPU drive strength to 3 for the Enhance Chip Performance option to be stable

I guess I always had it enabled.

When I disabled it I got around 80% !! YIKES!!

Oh btw I'm using the latest beta UZ bios but used to get the same results with the UL bios.

I set my drive strength to 0 and I avg around 23-25% now. So far it's stable but I haven't played any games yet.
