KT7-Raid - slave drive not being recognized..

I have an Abit Kt7-Raid MB with my Io-Plextor CD burner set as Master and a removable drive rack set as slave. The burner works fine with no problems whatsoever, but the slave drive is not recognized at all. The power light for the Slaved HD doesn't even come on. I have everything set up the exact same way in an old P200 box with a CD-rom being the master and the rack set as slave and it works perfectly. It has to be exactly the same for that reason, so I can swap large amounts of data between the 2 boxes quickly. The racks aren't hot swappable, but it only takes 2 mins at max to reboot either box, so that works fine. I have tried a few different cables and power connectors, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm using a 40 pin cable connected to IDE1 on the board with the first connector in the CD burner and second in the rack. My Primary boot drive is a IBM 45 gig, but it is connected to the first ata-100 connector on the board and I have no probs with it either. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I can't figure it out..

TIA
