I have recently flashed my BIOS on my KT7-R (200mhz fsb) to the lastest (A9) from the original (UL). This all went smoothly and leads on to my next upgrade:
I installed a new 1.33mhz (266mhz) Athlon (factory unlocked). It is working fine at a max of 13*106 (100% STABLE).
However I seem to be having one problem, my memory (Crucial PC133 C2), which used to work fine with my old 900 t-bird at 'FSB+PCI' setting. Now with this setting the system wont boot for more than, say, 5 secs... before it freezes... OR boots to windows & automatically restarts!!! (this is even at 13*100, highest or lowest other memory settings...)
Whats gone wrong? Has this bios a problem with this setting??
Any other suggestions on how to get a KT7-R past 106mhzFSB would also be appreciated....
