i'm having a weird problem with the motherboard. the duron 750mhz chip has been unlocked, the highest i can set the multiplier in the BIOS is 8.5. 8.5x100 is 850mhz. but if i bump the bus speed up to 115mhz, THEN it allows me to bump the multiplier up to 9x. if i keep the bus speed at 114mhz or below and set the multiplier to 9x or higher the BIOS ignores the multiplier and sets it at 7x or 7.5x randomly. This duron 750mhz chip was pretested at 1ghz(10x100mhz), i've tried an older BIOS, my computers specs are:

KT7 RAID motherboard with UL Bios
Duron 750 pretested at 1ghz(10x100)
Micron PC133 CAS2 128MB Ram
Leadtek Winfast GeForce2 MX
Sound Blaster Live Value
Intel Pro 10/100 PCI NIC
Windows 98 Second Edition

Sounds to me like the bridges are not all connected properly. Might have been done with a Pencil and the graphite is losing it's conductivity (This happens). Make sure all the L1 bridges are closed (re-do the pencil trick or use conductive paint) While you got it out ... check the other groups (L3 & L4) to see if they have been altered. If they have you got ALOT of work ahead of you.

Hi reddog69.

I have the same problem as you.
When the multiplier is set at 9x and I reboot, it runs at 700 or 750, weird hmmm!

Did you find the problem?

Hope you or anyone else out there have any info.
