Call it operator error, but I have not had an easy time getting everything working properly on my KT7 Raid MoBo. The most pressing issue is the fact that my system device manager cant seem to find a driver for the "PCI Mass Storage Controller". I get the "?" next to "other devices" in the device manager dialoge box. I have installed the 4.26 Via 4 in 1 drivers. Does anyone know where I could find the driver that my system is looking for? It does not seem to be on the CD that comes with the MoBo.

System Details:

1.1 ghz Athlon Tbird
KT7 Raid MoBo
Soundblaster Live value in pci slot 4
Diamond Viper V550 TNT in AGP
Powered USB Hub
Efficient Networks 4060 DSL Modem - USB (More probs with that below)
MS Explorer mouse USB
45g Maxtor HDD Primary, jumper set to master
8.5 g IBM HDD Secondary, jumper set to slave

Other symptoms and probs:

My mouse "freezes" every time I transfer files from one directory to another. It "releases" after the transfer is complete.

My modem initilizes only 50% of the time and when it does, it usually takes 1 to 2 minutes after startup to get a succesful sync.

2 different floppy DD's have seemed to die on me. The one I have in there worked originally, but now cannot read any disks that I put in. This also happened to the first one I installed.

Any thoughts, ideas or comments on any of these problems would be appretiated!

The necessary file was on the disk. I am sorry to say that I do not have the exact location. I went through every directory until it finally found the correct driver. I no longer have the controller problem. =) The other problems are still pending.
