i agree, but make sure you get the MSi K7T Pro2A. they have some improvements from the pro2 [without the A]. i'm gonna get the board myself tomorrow, hopefully. check it out at www.spartantech.com. it raised the price about 5-6 bucks from that store though. i think the other stores like atacom don't have it in stock or might not be as reliable because spartan used to be PC Progress which was alright.

read the november 2000 roundup from anandtech.

Why hello there Shu8, fancy meeting you here. =) Welcome to the forums.
Go with the MSi. Most stable board out there right now. Bought mine from Spartantech right before they raised the price. If you don't plan on using any ATA100 drives, just get the normal PRO2. I heard it also comes with an ATA100 controller card just in case. Can anyone verify?

[update] by the way, ThundercatHO, I love your name! That cartoon rocked! To read up on your old favorite cartoons check out Yesterdayland

<<I heard it also comes with an ATA100 controller card just in case. Can anyone verify?>>

The original K7T Pro comes with an ATA100 controller, the Pro2 is ATA66 but does not come with anything, and the Pro2A has built-in ATA100 support. The best one to get is Pro2A, it's got everything, and its substitubes the previous Pro and Pro2.
