I have just purchased this mainboard and am having a few strance things happen.... It seems very particular to ram manufacturer and slot placement. When i first tried the board it would start fine but would go into standby when trying to do a restart. I finally got that solved but yesterday I went to install some Samsung DDR into the board and it would not post regardless of teh slot it was placed in. I am not sure if the chip is bad since i have not made the return to my wholesaler yet. Then when I went to replace the ram with the original chips they would not accept the same slot placement they were in prior to trying the Samsung Ram...... I have the option to return the bard but once it is up and running all seems fine....

Has anyone here had any similar problems with this board....

It seems like it may be flaky but i don't really feel like tearing the entire system apart if I don't have to

I have been using this board for a couple weeks, I have not had any problems with it. I run 1 256mb stick of generic Samsung pc2700, I have tried it in all the slots just to be sure.

Is the ram you use on this List at the bottom of the page ? ?

I too am using this board (temporarily- its a customer's) and I have no issues like that. Make sure you are using a good PSU. I too am using 256 mg generic and it doesn't care which slot its in. I really like this board.

Some people have reported issues with the onboard lan when trying to install drivers for it.

There is a new BIOS out 1.5

Make sure that board is set to default ram settings. If you have them set too aggressively the ram may balk at them. Also make sure that you are inserting the modules correctly. It may need more force to lock it in.
