im looking on upgrading my system. i plan on getting the barton 2500+ from newegg but im stuck on which mobo to get. my question is though i need a ide raid because im running 5 hard drives. so is it better to get the kt400 mobo with raid built in or should i buy the nforce2 and buy a cheap raid card?

nForce2... definitely... and I believe some have IDE raid, they just need an integrated controller... you also have SATA raid so you can jsut buy some adapters...

would i just use the SATA as my raid?

right now i don't have any raid setup. i just have it set so i can see all 5 drives individually if you know what im trying to say. i just need that.
