KT400 memory?

I've been reading articles on the new memory for the KT400 mobo's. And I was wondering why you can only run the memory at its full potential in one slot. Why do you have to knock it down to 333 when you have more than one. I don't get it.
It sounds as if KT400 isn't worth it.
Do you think that you will be able to run more than one module at 400 sometime in the future?
