Are there any known issues with the onboard RAID with the MSI KT3 Ultra? I've updated all of the drivers and it is turned on in BIOS. During boot up it shows nothing about it. I believe, even with no devices detected, it would try and detect devices connected. I've currently got 6 hard drives and a DVD drive connected to the onboard IDE and a Maxtor ATA/133 card. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Have you tried clearing the CMOS and then see if the onboard raid bios screen comes up?

This is what I was told by MSI ...
By default the IDE3 and IDE4 connectors are enabled. The RAID bios will try to detect devices attached to it during boot-up. This appears after the main boot sequence and just before booting into Windows.

Now this is what happened to me ...
On boot with just 1 HDD connected to IDE3 ... It went thru the detection mode and reported that there was no array defined and also didnot pick up the drive. In my case I had to take the jumper off the WD drive in order for it to detect it. Then since there was just 1 drive, it automatically selects that RAID is not enabled.

Hope this answers ur question ... Also read up the ATA 133 RAID user's guide that comes with the motherboard. Lots of good info in there
