Here's my situation. I currently have a MSI K7 Master motherboard that I've had more problems with than I want to remember. Needless to say I will NEVER EVER buy another MSI motherboard. I want to upgrade to something different, but I can't decide between the VIA KT266A and the KT333.

I want something that's going to last through AMDs Clawhammer debut which makes me lean towards the KT333, and the price difference between the 2 isn't that great. The only thing making me hesitate is their aren't that many KT333 motherboards to choose from. I need one with RAID and the only 2 I've been able to find (that aren't MSI!!) are the Asus A7V333-RAID and the Epox EP-8K3A+.

Suggestions??

How soon do u need to upgrade....I know what it's like to have a buggie board. but if u can wait untill 2nd quarter this year, the KT 400 should be out. I havn't played around with the kt 333 boards so I can't give any knowledgable info on there performance, (we read the same reviews) but i know the shuttle ak35 is a solid board.

that my friend is a great question, as you know 333 is supposed to support pc2700, however a pc2700 standard has not been accepted as of yet, so buyer beware there is no real pc2700

I got a ASUS A7V333 -RAID......The feature set on the Asus is greater than the Epox....6 USB, including 4 USB 2.0 and Fire Wire......but of course you have to pay extra.............Perfomance wise..I haven't seen too many review but I suspect there won't be too much of a perfmance advantage using 2700 over 2100 DDR....certianly not justified by the cost differeance.......
As for the Brands ASUS and EPOX...both are very good.......ASUS has been in the MOBO buiness for longer...and has a slightly better reputation thus their products command a small price premium........
