KT266 motherboards....when?

Anybody have any idea when the first KT266 motherboards are going to be out? Also, is ASUS planning on being one the the first KT266 boards out? I hope they are out in April. I'm getting tired of waiting.

Huh? I'm thinking you are kidding. MB makers are just making KT133a stuff work... hehehehe... 266 could be a bit of a stretch. what needs to happen is that we get a new PCI spec, that boosts its clock from 33MHz to at least a 100MHz. 33MHz is chump... palm pilots have that much wiggle.

Actually Superdoopercooper I believe they should be out in the next couple months. I'm just hoping to find more concrete dates. Here is a link to the FIC KT266.

Oh.. I gotcha... A competitive solution to AMD's 760 chipset. Cool!! They need to work on these naming conventions... becuase if the make some SDRAM that can do QDR at 133... then would that be a KT 532? But then... what happens if they have DDR (i.e. a 760 type solution) that can do QDR.... what do they call that? heheheheh...

Man... I just bought a new set of hardware 1 week ago, and it's already feeling outdated.

Don't worry Coop, I'm still a step behind you with a KT133! I hope the new boards have the multiplier issues worked out before they are released cuz I want to finally unlock my Tbird and see what it'll do with PC2100 in the saddle.
