KT2 Combo & XP - can't upgrade, please help!!!!!

I am running a KT2 Combo w/98se. I'm trying to upgrade to XP but it gives me a blocking error, telling me it can't upgrade because it detected a Highpoint HPT366 Ultra DMA Controller.

As for as I know, the KT2 mb doesn't have that controller. I believe my previous motherboard did, but when I upgraded to this motherboard (so I could upgrade to XP), it seems to still remember that controller.

How can I correct this or get around this? I'm stumped and need your help PLEASE!!!!!!!

When you upgraded to the new motherboard did you do a clean install of 98? If not, the highpoint drivers may still be on the hard drive and XP may think it's there. Highpoint is a RAID driver, do you know for sure if your new board has RAID or not?
