KT133A vs. KT266A

In real world applications and games, would I see a significant increase in performance in going from a 1.33 Gig T-bird/PC133/KT-133A to, say, an Athlon XP 1600+(or higher)/DDR/KT-266A combination? Or, should I just wait for the next generation of hardware? Thanks...

I would say so. Not only does the board use double data rate memory, but the enhanced Northbridge supports hardware pre-fetch and more efficient memory utilization.

With your current hardware I would wait for Thoroughbred or Northwood though. What kind of video card do you have?
