KT133 North Bridge

<< Why are you asking this? I wouldnt add cooling to the northbridge >>

Why not? The fan is there for a reason.

prolly because the KT7 has a HS/F... and no it's not required, since nobody else besides abit uses them🙂

Abit uses it so their board look cooler and makes people think that they're for real in tweaking.

a fan is idiculously unnecesary

a hs is ok, but even if you take away the hs, it's gonna be fine.

darkangel: maybe you are missing the point. the kt7 *has* a fan on its north bridge, I was wondering if I could replace it with passive cooling for less noise. thanks for the responses, thats what I though. I think I read that some site (hardocp?) urged abit to add the cooling to the north bridge for "more stability"

Adding more stability by a fan on the north bridge is a joke for KT133.... the PLL chip is the part that wont let the MB run high FSB, if the PLL was better than yes a fan might be needed at the much higher FSB settings.
