KT133/MSI Pro 2 & MX300

Are the sound card issues still a problem with the latest Via drivers and MSI Bios? I was planning on using my trusty old MX300 in my MSI Pro 2/Duron system. Hate to buy a Live just to get the thing stable. I'll be dual booting 98 SE and W2K Pro. Thanks..

Currently running my MX300 just fine using the Aureal 2.048 drivers. Still in the process of overclocking, but FSB is 105 mhz right now, no probs...

Apparently there is a general incompatibility between the KT133 chipset and the Aureal vortex 2 chipset, although some people have no porblem in their systems (like L1 trauma)

There's definitely issues still but there's ways to get the vortex2 card to run on KT133.

for info and drivers.

I've got a way to install vortex2 cards that have worked with many people so pm me if you still have probs.
