Krispy Kreme (I think that's how it's spelled) vs Shipleys? If you've had both, which did you prefer?

I'm a big Shipley's Donuts fan. However, a friend of mine told me that Krispy Kreme was even better. I didn't believe him, but he's actually had both so he can compare. Which did you prefer?

YamahaGPR,

There is not always a line at my Krispy Kreme. To get there I have to walk like two blocks. Damn thing needs to be closer.

Yakko,

The closest to me is about 30 minutes (arlington) the only time I get them is when I'm in that area, and there always seems to be a line... they know I'm coming..
😀

My friend's dad is pretty wealthy. Before they built any Krispy Kremes here in Texas, he used to have people in his California office FedEx Krispy Kremes when the mood struck him. 😉

I've never had Shipley's donuts, but I do enjoy the occasional Krispy Kreme. I like the glazed with chocolate icing.

i've never had this "shipley's" but Krispy Kreme tastes like Krispy Krap compared to Dunkin Donuts.

Homemade donuts are the best. And they are very easy to make. I still make them occasionally on a Sunday, but I'm trying to get skinnier so I can run faster. Donuts have a tendency to give you that, um, er, donut shape. 😛
